RESIDENT ENGINEER - Overseas Assignment

Job Description:

LYON Associates, Incorporated is a world wide civil engineering consulting firm with over 55 years of experience. LYON has an opening for a full-time Resident Manager with experience leading projects in the field of:

  1. Construction Management of Airport pavement or building projects
  2. Construction Supervision Resurfacing of Airport Runway
  3. Construction Supervision Drainage and Sewage System

The Resident Manager will be a civil engineer that report to the Supervision Team Leader. The project site is in the South Pacific where the client will be working on rehabilitating various airport runways. The Resident Engineer would be responsible for:

  1. Supervising construction of the work and tests
  2. Examining any materials to be used or workmanship employed
  3. Maintain detailed records of daily activities on the site
  4. Ensure the teams have accomplished all tasks and duties

The Resident Engineer would be expected to stay with the project for the duration, approximately 24 months.

D. Qualifications:


  1. At least 10 Years in the design or construction industry
  2. 2-3 of those years in construction supervision
  3. 5 years of contract management experience
  4. Project experience in flexible asphalt, resurfacing, and repaving.



Job Description:

Immediate opening for a full-time Project Engineer with experience in the field of:

  1. Civil Infrastructure Design
  2. Environmental Planning and Community Development

  3. The Project Engineer will be providing design support with some supervision for civil engineering or environmental projects. Applicants must be able to work well within a team environment as well as independently. Applicants must be proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD. EIT and/or PE with BS in engineering field are preferred. The Project Engineer will work under an experienced Project Manager but in some cases will be expected to serve as the communications link between the firm and the:

  4. Client,
  5. Design teams,
  6. Sub-consultants,
  7. Local, State, and Federal Regulatory agencies, and
  8. General Construction Contractor.

  9. The projects will range in size and location. The project manager must be able to travel locally, domestically, as well as internationally.
